Comparing Dates Using JavaScript
The Date object is used to compare two dates.
function check_date(){
var dateval=document.addMusic.txtReleaseDate.value;
var stat=dateval.split('-');
var year=stat[2];
var month= stat[1];
var day=stat[0];
var dateToCheck = new Date();
dateToCheck.setYear(year);
dateToCheck.setMonth(month-1);
dateToCheck.setDate(day);
var checkDate = dateToCheck.getTime();
var now = new Date();
now = now.getTime()
if( now > checkDate ){
confirm("message1");
}else{
